Our company history
Meet our founder: James
Bringing with me a wealth of experience spanning more than 23 years in the realm of Furniture removals, I embarked on this journey as an Offsider. My roots trace back to Coolum, but my aspirations led me across Australia, engaging in furniture removals across the nation. During my two-year stint in Darwin, I ascended to the role of a driver/loader.
Over the course of six years in Sydney, I joined the ranks of a prominent removals enterprise. Starting as a driver, I steadily climbed the ladder to assume the role of Operations Manager. Subsequently, I was sought out and appointed as an Operations Manager for a Western Australian branch of the world’s largest furniture removal company. Five years of dedicated service honed my skills before I took the plunge 7 years ago and established Lucky Bay Removals. The journey has been prosperous, marked by notable achievements.
Just last year, we made the strategic decision to relocate the business to the East coast, reuniting with cherished friends and family while embracing a lifestyle we hold dear.
2000
Embarking on the furniture removal journey
Starting as an Offsider working in Darwin, I spent two years building my skill before ascending into the role of a driver/loader. Spending time working in multiple locations across Australia, I gained the knowledge I needed to pursue a more prestigious role.
2011
New roles – more experience
Working for six years in Sydney, I climbed the ladder to assume the role of Operations Manager. Soon after, I was appointed to be the Operations Manager for the largest removalist company in the world, run from the Western Australia Branch.
2016
Founding of Lucky Bay Removals
After 5 years of service as an Operations Manager, I took the plunge and embarked on my own journey, establishing Lucky Bay Removals.
2022
Relocated to the East Coast
Moving to reunite with dear friends and family and embrace the lifestyle, the business was relocated to the East Coast, where today, it thrives in the heart of the Sunshine Coast.
